The gently curved handle lets you rest the spoon on the edge of a jar or bowl, so it does not slip in and get sticky. Wood is lightweight and does not scratch ceramic or glass jars, and it does not react with acidic foods or change their taste. Use them for serving dips and sauces at a party, as condiment spoons in a spice drawer, or as dessert spoons for yoghurt, mousse and ice cream.
To care for them, wash by hand in warm, soapy water, dry them straight away and avoid soaking or the dishwasher. A little food-safe oil now and then keeps the wood looking its best. Because the set comes with ten pieces, there are enough for every jar in the pantry, and they make a lovely small gift together with a jar of honey or jam.
